File Reviews

Hi all,
big Thank You to all contributors, it is great that You are able to share Your findings with the others.

Some question can occure when filling the review for some file.
First of all, the information should be relevant, best way is to check the file using the VirusTotal or Jotti sevice, after that You can be sure of virus possibility in that file and respective MD5 hash of Your file.
If the scan was not performed on Your side, but You are pretty sure of the file, go on and proceed with the Add review function on the bottom of the page.

What You need to fill :
Your nickname - our system does not force You to use real nicknames, all the reviews are reviewed by the admins if relevant and correct... But it is always better to be subscribed under Your own work, right ;) ?
E-mail - definitelly it is NOT compulsory to write Your e-mail here. It can help if someone else would like to share more info about the respective file with You, so the person can contact You directly...
File rating - mark the file as Safe (no danger, no virus, no big system performance degradation, no unfriendly behaviour was spotted) or Threat (any of previously stated behaviour)
File type - mark the file as a Part of operating system (if You can say it for sure) or Part of Application (in any other cases)
Comment - Some usefull comment will be REALLY appreciated. It is great if You just say, that the file is a dangerous one, but without any comment WHY, it seems to be a little bid pointless...

Does anyone follow these obvious malware-generated links to see what evil they lead one to? :-)

I guess it's time to add a captcha to the board.

The forum has captcha enabled, but captcha is not good enough. :-(

Hi all,
You have for sure spotted there is new web-check functionality coming with the 2.2.0 version - the files from Process screen can be checked on the weba pages of Files Review. First time You click on the file marked with :?: icon (=file not written in the web database), the file information (location in the directory structure, creator of the file, NOTHING about the computer or user) will be saved in the web database and free review page will display in Your default web browser. Feel free to add a review for all Your local files which You know, and please do obey the same rules as stated in the first post in this topic. It is nice if You wrote just a small info about the file, not only mark it as safe or threat.
Anyway thank You for using the link on the Process screen, it helps the others with file info for a wide variety of files.

Maybe disable posts to this also. Looks like the spammer scum is posting in the first and last topics.
